2011 Tree Lighting

On Sunday December 4, 2011 at 5 pm, townsfolk will gather at the Center Meeting House and celebrate the annual Lighting of the Tree. The spruce tree on the corner of the CMH property was planted decades ago by Alice Lynn. The town lights the tree each year and the Newbury Beautification Committee holds a celebration to sing carols, ring the CMH bell, and enjoy a short program in the meetinghouse followed by refreshments in the town offices. This is the kind of cooperation and community building that was visualized as part of the CMH Vision Statement.
