Center Meeting House

Last August we initiated this improved web site with the generous assistance of Susie Riley of Out There Productions.  What a great support and technical resource she has been.

Elsewhere in this news section I presented the number of visits that we had during the last few months of 2009.  This year, from January 1 through August 31 we had 1,500 individual visits to the site.  And today so far, four visitors have checked us out.

I only mention this at all as another example of how much the community supports and cares about the Center Meeting House.

And now, we are preparing to enter a new phase in the life of this 178 year old lady.  The part of our Mission Statement that speaks of "uniting and enriching" our community comes to the fore.  Weddings.  Lectures.  Musical performances.  Bar Mitzvahs.  Whatever the people of our town can imagine that will make life more appealing that will be hosted in an 1832 building that has lasted longer than any of its designers, builders or caretakers could have ever imagined.

She is nearly fully restored and she is complete with her spirit and full of town memories!
